There are occasions where you might want to hide nodes. Your RiskTree might be very large, and is easier to manage if completed branches are temporarily removed from the display. You might want to include nodes where you don't yet know the assessment values so that they are not forgotten, but then need to calculate the risks (which can't be done with incomplete nodes). Hidden nodes are excluded from the calculations.
To hide a node (and all of its children), select node menu. The node will change to a grey colour, and its children will vanish. Hidden nodes with children show a dark grey, downward facing triangle to indicate that there are child nodes not being displayed.
from theThe centre node (above) has been hidden, and has children (the grey triangle is shown). The right-hand node is hidden and has no children, as shown by the assessment values beneath the node name (in this case, the values are not set and are shown as -/-/-/-/-/-).
To make a hidden node visible, select
from the node menu. This option is only available on hidden nodes. The root node always has a option which will make all hidden nodes throughout the tree visible.
